We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
3. Personal Information We Collect
3.1. Personal information you give us
We collect personal information you give us, such as
Transaction information. When you order paid versions of the Service we collect information necessary to complete the transaction, including your name, payment information and billing information.
Feedback and correspondence. You may share information with us when you respond to surveys, request customer support or otherwise interact with us.
Device data. You may choose to give us permission to access certain data on or components of your device, such as your photos, contacts, microphone and camera. You can always disable this access in your device’s settings.
Location data. Location permissions are essential to receive Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) data and use its main features. The permissions “access fine location” (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) and “access coarse location” (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) are necessary to receive Bluetooth Low Energy data on Android 11 and lower. In Android 12+ the updated and more fine grained BLUETOOTH_SCAN permission is utilized instead. You can always disable this access in your device’s settings
Bluetooth Low Energy is a technology used by gadgets such as AirPods to broadcast their status to other devices nearby. Because location permissions are required to interact with Bluetooth Low Energy data, our software seeks them. This is a privacy safeguard implemented by Android because it is possible to establish someone’s position by scanning for Bluetooth devices: You could utilize Bluetooth data to calculate your position if you know the physical location of a Bluetooth device (for example, AirTags)
Location access in the background. For Android 11 and older, Moniq Tap uses the “location access in the background” permission (ACCESS BACKGROUND LOCATION) to receive Bluetooth Low Energy data while the app is in the background. This permission enables the “Display popup” and “Autoconnect” functionalities, as well as allowing our app to respond to neighboring devices even while the app is closed. You can always disable this access in your device’s settings
